I have AA degress in computer Technology from heald college ( vocational ) I want to go back to school to finish my degree in computer science and also want to do a minor in business. So can I please get some help in makin my mind. I am good at troubleshooting the networking part. I have set up networks but I am confused about business part if I should go for ebusiness, Corp Finance, Accouting or if there is something more compitable to it? I am in california so Should I start with Community college or State universtiy? thanks in advance

I am retired with 35 years of computer science experience.

Since so many jobs in the field are either in training or documentation, English language skill should not be underestimated. You might be surprised how well Theater or Journalism majors do.

My degree was in Accounting. I got a lot of mileage from being able to understand specs for payables and payroll systems.

Being able to wear two hats helps with any job. Find something you do well at (and learn to enjoy it) and get even better. Volunteer for anything that gets you practical experience.

I'd recommend trying either maths or Econ. alot of the coputer science majors i know did a minor in math as well cuz it helps alot with the programming and reasoning parts of it. Econ would be good so you can also branch out into the business word and use your com sci skills to assist u

Go back to a 4 yr college. I am not sure business will give ant great results with Computer Science. I suggest math that will make you more i mpressive as an IT specialist.
