Native Americans arrived here 30,000 years ago by walking over the Bering Strait frozen in the Ice Age. The link below shows that all humans are connected by DNA by our "Mitochrondrial Eve" about 200,000 years ago. The article states "Some of this research shows genetic relations between Native Americans and Asians, supporting the theory of Asian origin."

I don't know about any specific Japanese island, but DNA suggests that Native Americans are of Asain descent.

No excuse. But some very good reasons. 1) If you weren't born here and didn't cross the border illegally, then you are an illegal. So reads the immigration policy of virtually every civilised country on the planet, Mexico included. 2) Mexicans do /not/ have the same ancestry as, say, the Cherokee or Navajo. The Aztec, Inca, Cherokee, and any other indigenous people you could mention are all distinct groups with distinct homelands. The native people whose descendants live in Mexico today (most, though not all, mixed with Spanish blood)? That would be the Aztec, whose ancestral home is also in Mexico--not the United States. They founded Mexico City, in fact, though not under the same name. 3) Mexico has a history of abusing its 'illegals' from Central and South America in ways that horrify the vast majority of Americans--despite the fact that Mexico and Central America share even more common ancestry than Mexico and the U.S. What's /your/ excuse?

Yes, if you go back tens of thousands of years. It is true that the Ainu are a distinctive group but have assimilated into Japanese culture for the most part. Some view it as tragedy, others as a reflection of circumstance and others as choice. I say live and let live. That includes allowing Natives to integrate if they so desire {the reserve system is segregation and if you want to leave it, you are either a 'sellout' or a 'white man's burden'}, but I prefer a balance between the old tribal cultures and the New World. It is just as prejudiced to in a politically-correct way limit the involvement of Natives in the larger culture and condemn them as 'sellouts' (this comes from white leftists) who don't live the 'old way', which is never what life on the reserve is really like. If Natives wanted to live the old way, they would not start businesses, go on the Internet and read English. They still hunt, perform traditional dances, make Native arts and crafts, etc.

NO! But there is a DNA connection between "Indians" (they called themselves "The People" and native Siberians. Really! Both are in my DNA, along with Inuits.

You need to see the Discovery Channel special "The Real Eve." You'll find DNA proves Native American's have Greek ancestors! 37,000 years removed. Its a mind blower.

The Japanese, all other Asians, and the Native American Indian all have their common ancestor in the Mongoloid people.

yes. There are connection between the DNA. Is believed that the Antarctica did really exist, you all know this. So when the continent was destroyed by the volcano is believe that many people escaped in boats and they when to every single continent around the world. That's the reason why you see Chinese people in Latin America who never been to China. or Latino looking Arabs and Arabs that look Latino. Every single person in the world in one way or another is connected to next one.
