Yahoo! Finance or OANDA.com to see what the market says, Remember currencies fluctuate like the stock market so the rate you get is always changing. The bank can do an exchange for you. If you travel, use a credit card as you get the best rate when they convert the charges to your home currency.

Well I'm about to leave and head for London, Bristol, and Wales. You probably will be able to do it somewhere in your city. I have to go downtown to get my money. You'll have fun with our money, lol. 50 pounds over there is $100 over here. That's double!

If you mean literally, large banks will do this for you. Some may require an account but not all. Also there may be a maximum/minimum limitation.
