I just have a quick question ! How long after being hit in the nose by a softball would it take for it to maybe cause you to have a black eye, or will it ?? I really dont wont one but scared I will wake up in the morning with one ! THANKS A BUNCH

generally you will see redness and swelling right away. if bruising sets in (thus the black eye) it will happen fairly soon 2-3 hours after.

i am pretty sure by morning you will have one..and if you were hit in the nose you might have both black eyes. put some ice on it.

a couple of hours to start, by the next morning you will be waking up with worse than what you went to bed with!

put a steak on it. :)
ice, use a bag of frozen corn or peas, something that will mold to your eye socket.

depends -you might not get one. it would be prudent to see an urgent care doctor for evaluation, though.
