Excellent question!! My boyfriend is an animal hater, and I love animals. I am the sort of person to take in any animal and care for it. I love them the more the better. He gets so cranky at me and it has nearly come in between us many a times. I have just started to ignore him now. I tried to change him but it didnt help if anything it made him worse.

My fiance wanted me to actually get rid of the miniature schnauzer I had had for two years when we moved in together. I offer this next move I made simply because you don't know me nor ever will so - here's what I did that worked! I slowly began "imitating "her" voice". Had "her" respond to something he had said with a witty and loving remark. "She" often "told" and still "tells" him how she loves him, also "remarking" on what a wonderful "daddy" he is. It's embarassing (and I'm sure I'm gonna get many insulting comments from viewers) but IT WORKED. Now, he tells her that he loves her and I have asked what amount of money would he be willing to accept for her to be sold and never to be seen again. He said, and I quote "there is no amount great enough.". We now have, 5!!! miniature schnauzers, 2 cats, 1 bird, 3 fish, a leapord spotted gecko, a black bear hampster and a land hermit crab. Through patience and love and the ability to open his eyes to all of the wonderful qualities animals contain my fiance is now a changed man. You can do it! And Good luck to you!!!

that depends, why do they hate animals in the first place? Is it because they had bad experiences with them? I had a friend who hated pet rats because she was petrified of them. (she remembered her uncles male rats as being huge and ugly to her when she was a little girl) I showed her my rats, how gentle they were and how they werent that huge now that she was an adult. 2 days later, she went out and bought 2 of her own.
Or, do they just hate animals because thats how they were raised? Theres no changing some people. Some people are mean and like to pick on animals because they cant tell, and they cant retaliate. I dont think you can change those people.

If an animal hater is dead set on being that way, there is no way of changing them.
But show them your pets. Teach them something. Make him/her feed the animals

forget the animal hater and just run them over with a truck. lol on a serious note, never trust anybody that hates animals. if they don't like my dog then i don't like them. you can't change people they have to change themselves. all you can do is educate them. some people are just dumb, though.

Good luck with that. My experience with animal haters...they just aren't very nice people.
You either love them or hate them.

WHY? If they dislike animals there might be a reason be hind it... and if not, well, you may never change a person, just because YOU like animals....

You can't force any one to like animals but you can try to find a really cute one that they can't say no to, and tell them that it needs a home.

All you have to do is show them what your animal can do like sit on command or lay down or potty train him.
