I told her I hated it for the lack of sms text messaging, which she knew i wanted. (I can pay for it myself, but apparently there are other "debts". I had a mental breakdown, and now she's being mean to me. And FYI,, I just got it today! Plus she deleted my phone book that took two hours to make, and my pics.
Please help!
Thank you!

Do what my brother did. Just stela it back and get in her face and tell her that you pay for it. If you pay for it the texts then why does she care!? heck, I dont even pay for my text messaging and my mom doesn't care.

sorry, but until you are 18 or declared legally an adult capable of caring for yourself, your parents have the right to take away your cell phone even if you pay for it yourself. Also, if I understand correctly she got you a phone, and you complained about what it didn't have, rather that be appreciative of the fact that she got for you. I also do not allow certain things, such as text messaging, to be on my children's phones, I control their cell phone usage, just the same as I monitor closely what they do on the internet, who they are talking to, etc. I know you hate it now, but when you have children of your own, you will come to understand why your parents do some of the things they do.

You should have appreciated that she got you the phone.

Deleting your phone book and pics was a little un-called for unless she warned you. (You were whining and she told you to stop whining or she would delete your stuff)

You had a mental breakdown because you're freaking out over nothing.

Sounds like she was unhappy with your tantrum. Behave yourself for a week and then ask for it back. If she's not ready, check back in another week.
