Many groups, politicians, and political parties have always demonized another group throughout history. The more relevant term here is “scapegoat”. The definition of a scapegoat is when a person transfers the rightful blame of ones self to another group or person. This is a common theme through history. The Romans under Nero need the Christians. The Nazis under Hitler needed the Jews. Iraqis under Saddam needed the Curds. The minorities under the Democrats in the U.S. need the white men. The cycle is the same in each case. First you have a group that feels less fortunate, then a political party or a politician pray on that feeling. This obviously creates power for the political parties and the politician and trouble for the scapegoats. But has this ever been the answer? Has this really helped the less fortunate group?

The question that has to be asked is “What have I done for myself to change my circumstances?” Is it the white mans fault that there are some that live in crime, poverty, and lack basic education? Here in the U.S. a basic education is free to everyone. Is it the white mans fault that some don’t take full advantage of it? Is it the white mans fault that colleges lack enrolment of minorities? Is it the white mans fault that teen pregnancy is much higher among minorities? Is it the white mans fault that crime is higher in minority communities? So, again I ask the question, “What have you done for yourself to change your circumstances?” This is a far cry for Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.s vision of brotherhood. His vision where a man is judged by the content of his character not the color of his skin. It’s ironic because scapegoating never turned out well for any group or politician that tried it.

When you lack the responsibility for yourself and blame others for your misfortunes you doom your children and their children to suffer the same fate.
What have you done to better yourself lately?

there are a lot of people who want to put the White man down , but, they all want to enjoy the fruits of his labor,
I have been in many different country's and every one I have been in their dream was to come to America, if the white man was so bad why??? I hear some people say the white Americans had slaves for 3 hundred years, yes they did and so has every country in the world and some still do, also I guarantee if you go to Africa now and tell those people you will take them to America as slaves, your ship will be loaded very quickly by volunteers, and the same in many south American country's and Asian,it seems as if every one there no matter how remote they are dream of coming to America, some will go to other western country's but their 1st choice is America, have you any idea of why that is?? contrary to what our so called genius professors in some colleges want to imply they damned sure don't want to go any where else, why?? also the slaves brought here by the white man was already slaves to the tribe who sold them to the slave traders, and they were treated a hell of a lot better under the white man than they were under their own countrymen,so this poor me is nothing but B,S, by those who want some one to feel sympathy for them, it seems so many people want something for nothing and are nothing but cry babies. how can you disagree with what I have said? it is true.
and yes I am sick of hearing how bad the white man is, if you don't like the white man then go back to where you belong,as I damned sure won't miss you.

Yes.
Just look at all of the non-white countries around the world with dictatorships?
Is that the white man's fault?
No.
Also being poor and white I am a victim of rich white opression rather than the cause of it.
But Hollywood is sure pretty and white. You won't find any illegal aliens or gangs in their lilly white gated communities.

Yeah, sometimes. When I hear a young feminist say things like "You people have been running the world long enough," or African Americans tell me that I owe them because "their ancestors were my ancestors slaves," I feel like saying, "Um what? Me?"
My ancestors were Eastern European jews, hardly the people running the world. I didn't grow up in a mansion, or inherit daddy's business, and wasn't a legacy at Harvard or Yale. Neither, of course, were most other white guys.
But they're not entirely wrong, either. White men have been running the world for a long time, and for the most part, still do. And I know that as a white man I have advantages that I usually never think about. I've never been stopped for "driving while black," or had people assume I'm an illegal alien because my last name is Garcia. I've never had to work twice as hard to get a promotion because I'm a woman, or lived in fear of rape. the world is still stacked against women and people of color in a lot of ways, some blatant, some subtle. It helps me feel better about being a white dude to know that I'm doing everything I can to overcome prejudice of all kinds.

it's the man on top syndrome. When you are incharge of things everybody thinks you are doing the wrong thing. Never mind that hey probably can't do any better. When I got my first foreman's job the old timer that hired me said "now that your are in charge, they will call you a c@ck sucker no matter what you do" Boy was he right.

I'm not a White Man, but I get sick of them being blamed for all the worlds problems... It would be nice if people recognized the good that White people have done for this world. But it's impossible for Non-whites to acknowledge anything they have done.

I am very tired of all the excuses and blame. "I'm poor 'cuzz whitty won't give me no job". BS, we paced laws forcing us to hire and promote minorities and women, even if they are less qualified.

As a symbol of the white-run oppression that has been the norm for centuries, I am tired of being the main problem.
Read your history books folks.
Tis true that white culture has given us the gift of science, but it has also given us the gift of racially based oppression & imperialism.
It's time to keep the good, and get rid of the bad.
