I'm assuming that you are speaking of the WEP encryption key. This is a security feature for wireless networks. If this is the case, you may need this key to access the network. You would need to log into your router's interface to find it, and then type (or paste) that key into your wireless card or wireless adapter.

You need to be a little more specific. If you are talking about a wireless network key, you have to get the key code from the source. Like if you are trying to use a neighbors wireless internet, which by the way is stealing, you would have to get the key from them because it will be a key that they made up.

the key is a password or phrase like your yahoo password. And as the other contributor said...if you don't know it..it ain't your network...R.
