I think its biological. We are a social species, there has to be something that binds us to each other and that seems to be accomplished with emotion; affectionate feeling, warm feeling, LOVE. If there were no love parents would have little reason to give their babies the care that they need. People wouldn't have any reason to stay together in a nurturing family, or even in a community or a tribe or a country. Its biologically necessary, its a natural drive.

Because that's one of our basic needs in life. Without love, we'll never grow as a "normal" person. From the time we were babies, the touch of our parents help us to know we're loved. By the time we're toddlers until teenage years, our parents love help us feel secure despite other trials in life. When we find our true love, we evolve not only for ourselves but also for them. And most of all, because of loving ourselves, we learn to respect, understand and love other people.

because we were created in God's image and He is Love in it's purest form. God created us to need love and need each other for a healthy existence. Science has proven people that laugh and love ( pets or other etc..) and are in good relationships tend to be healthier people. Less stress and have a positive outlook on life.

Because we are all in denial, frightened, lost and need false reassurance and comfort in order to want to continue to exist.
What is the point in life? Love and happiness! yay don't you feel better? What is the point in not killing myself? God! yay lets all feel better. The fact that our existance is completely pointless scares basically everyone

Because we are made in God's image... and love heals and feels good, real good. Love makes us happy, free, contented, secure and on and on.......it is a wonderful thing.
