He is a well respected player, and in my eyes, almost as good of a hitter as a-rod. Heck, he won the all star game for the americans last year, the least people should do is vote him back again

I doubt he'll get in. Derek Jeter and Tejada have a distance lead over Michael Young in the All-Star Voting. And since the Detroit manager will be picking the remaining players I going to guess he'll go with three shortstops. Derek Jeter, Tejada and his own player, Carlos Guillen (he's had a solid season).
But Jim Leyland will need take someone from the Rangers. My guess it'll be one of three players. Ian Kinsler since the 2nd base position is pretty open this season. Or he might go with Mark Texieria or future HOF Sammy Sosa seeing that they are two RBI leaders on the team.

Michael Young is playing under his ability at 287-4-40 but still very good. I believe I would go with Orlando Cabrera on the Angles at 342-3-38 as a back-up to Jeter.

sure as long as Josh Hamilton is voted as a starter. each group could have one All-megastar representative which i don't approve. i think of CJ Wilson and Michael youthful are locks as reserve. Texas would have an All-megastar in July.

As another Rangers fan, I hope he goes. He is really the only uninjured leader we have. I would vote him in as a backup.

I would say Jhonny Peralta should go before him. Jeter and Cabrera would be my picks though based on combined offense and defense. Peralta is swiss cheese on defense.
