My 96 explorers a/c stops blowing cold air when the car is at a stop. Is this some sort of weird feature by Ford to prevent overheating or is there something I can do about it? It works great when my car is moving.

I also just had the a/c refrigerant filled so it has nothing to do with that.

That is a weird problem. The A/C probably needs to be "rejuiced" (freon) and the reason it's cold when your car is moving may be because it's pulling in cooler air when you're moving. When I owned an explorer (97) this never happened.

i decide for the aircon and heater diagrams for a 1995 ford f 750 bucket truck . that is blowing chilly air below the hood , yet not contained interior the cab . not between the nice and comfortable temperature and air fixtures contained interior the sprint paintings , i think of I even could regulate it manually back to air , yet i don't understand the region it is at or no count if it particularly is a cable or it quite works off a vacuum .

Most of the time this is a sign of low ac charge.Have a dealer or good car shop check the ac system for low charge and clean the ac condencer. These two things will cause the system to heat up when not moveing.

it may need a fan clutch. it sounds like it is not pulling enough air through the condenser
