I just got my computer back from my now EX-wife,however along with with a picture on the homepage of her son giving me the finger, she put herself on as administrator AND kept the windows xp cd. I can only get on as a guest. How can I get in as an administrator thru the guest site

I would try doing this:

Boot into the guest account
Goto start->Run-> Type 'cmd'
inside the command prompt type:
net user newaccount pass /add

(newaccount=the name of your new account pass=if you want a password, type it here, if not after the newaccount type /add)

This will add a new account to your system. Go into that account and make yourself an admin(start->control panel-user accounts->change account type)

Then, to remove your ex-wifes account, go back into the command prompt and type

net user heraccountname /delete

After that you should be the only user on the account. I am not 100% sure that you can use the net user commands from a guest account, but i am pretty sure you can.

Hope this helps. If this doesn't make sense, send me an email and i can help you out further

She must really hate you. Do you have the install disks that came with the computer? If you don't, then call the computer manufacturer. You can talk to a technician. If the computer is still under warranty, then you won't have to pay a cent. They will send you a copy of the install disk(s). If the computer is not under warranty, you can buy the warranty or you can just buy the install disk(s) for about 15-30 bucks.
