according to kelly blue book it is worth 1165 retail or 720 for trade value I would say deduct the jet kit from the retail and a rebuilt kit for the carbs and that would be a fair price around 750 should be more than fair

500 bucks at most! it's a headache - don't do it! if you want to enjoy it spend a few more bucks and go for something newer that won't have problems. a bike that old is going to turn into 100 problems as soon as you start running it. i bet you will spend at least 8 - 9 hundred just getting it worthy again on things like tires, brakes, cables, carb parts, battery, and all the little gaskets that dry out when a bike sits for awhile.

According to Kelly Blue Book for the northeast, about $1200.00 tops. I would start at about $800.00 and work up from there.

I wouldn't think any more than $800. Finding parts will be hard.

79 is almost 30 years old....base your price on parts needed and on their availability....don't cut yourself short just cuz its an old bike....
