Pawtucket Red Sox and Rochester Red Wings in 1981, Ripken Jr. on Rochester and Wade Boggs on Pawtucket.

The longest professional game was between the Pawtucket Red Sox and Rochester Red Wings in 1981; it went 33 innings, with a suspension after the 32nd, long after the league curfew should have gone into effect. Wade Boggs (Sox) and Cal Ripken (Wings) played in this game.

The longest game in the majors, by innings, was the 26-inning, 1-1 tie between the Brooklyn Robins (Dodgers) and Boston Braves in 1920. Starting pitchers Joe Oeschger and Leon Cadore both went the distance! HOFers Rabbit Maranville (Braves) and Zach Wheat (Robins) both played in this marathon.

So, take yer pick.
