On an 02 Pontiac Grand Prix Gt, how do you remove the knobs from the AC/Heat Settings?

the light grey area has been chipped away so it just looks bad now half grey half clear... figured i would replace them/clean all the grey off...

just pull on them they come right off

manual climate control knobs just pull straight off and go on only one way. The red colored clear plastic behind the gray knobs are for light to shine thru.

you cant. they are glued into place on the knob shafts. why do you want to take them off? if
