Oh yes I heard "Mr. Tambourine Man" that is a new song isn't it? What do you think of that new group The Beatles? I don't think they will get anywhere.
Personally I like 50's music, Acker Bilk, Big Ben Banjo Band, Elvis and that new lad Cliff Richard seems okay.

Thanks for the remenicing, nothing like a bit of nostalgia.

What does a certain age mean? The music dates you . . . oh yes it does . . . along with the technology you are familiar with . . . I showed a record player (a phonograph) to an 8 year old and she had NO idea what it was about (!!!!!!!) And the there are the 20 somethings who come to me with questions like: who is this Sly and the Family?

OH yes, in the basement of my high school (the "student lounge") listening to STAND and that looonnng instrumental Sex Machine over and over and over. Stevie Wonder later on. Marvin Gaye - What's Goin On? OK, how old am I?

Rosie....Oh Rosie....(I can't remember the name of the guy who sang it - he was a sort of one-man band?).

Mr Tambourine Man is one of my best loved. I know Dylan wrote it, and The Byrds had the hit, but the version sung by Melanie Safka is my favourite.

Where to start.........Little Children, All Over The World, Leaving On A Jetplane, Catch The Wind...............Where to stop?

I just came across your question as I was about to switch the computer off for the night, (those of us "of a certain age", need to go to bed reasonably early!) - and I will happily go away thinking about the loads of music you have brought back to mind.

Thank you - great question!

How about, The Monster Mash by The Crypt Kicker Five?
Or Camp Granada by Allan Sherman?
I used to like the Wacky songs when i was a child!
When i was older Donny Osmond and his Puppy Love, or David Cassidy and Could it be forever.
My Mum did get worried when i liked Demis Roussos though....
