Try using a heating pad. It could be you just pulled a muscle. Rest so you don't over strain the injury. When you are feeling better more like you can play football be sure to stretch your muscles really well to help prevent further injury to your back. Hope this help.

Any time you have an injury, even a small one, you must stop the exercising. If you don't, you will worsen it, and have to stop what you are doing until are well.

I took dancing, and was on my in high school gymnastics team. I know injuries from the inside out! I have twisted my ankles over 165 times -no exaggeration. I've also badly injured my knee and know what that's all about, too. Wait until the doctor tells you it's okay.

You definately should have doc see you. Try alternating with ice packs and heating pad, but not too hot! Make sure you move around and dont let it stiffen up. You may be having muscle spasms which will take their time to work out and stop. Hope you are better soon!
