Metaphorically, dreams can be interpreted many different ways and mean many different things to many different people. Don’t worry about that stuff.

On the science level, dreams are the visual manifestation of our emotions, through things like colors that we subconsciously associate with emotions. Often our dreams stir up memories via "emotional association” - by that I mean, you may feel a twinge of jealous hate when you see your ex with your best friend, which might just be the EXACT same twinge of jealous hate you felt when you were five and saw your dad mowing the lawn instead of spending time with you. Thus you'll dream about your ex getting run over by a lawn mower.

Dreams rarely mean anything important, but they can tell us a lot about ourselves - such as our fears and where those fears stem from, the problems in our lives and how we are subconsciously feeling about it.

However, if you waste your time trying to interpret your dreams, you'll miss out on something far more important: life.

I've looked up some of the meanings of certain symbols or events that stood out in my dreams. Sometimes, I've taken the meanings seriously like needing to slow down and rest and to get rid of a negative person in my life.

I think God gives us dreams sometimes that need to be interpeted. I remember a dream where I was late to work and when I woke up I had about 30 minutes to get to work I over slept.

Dreams are beauty in and of themselves. Sometimes we read more into them than we ought to. Sometimes a dream house is just that.

No. I think dreams are random and meaningless. Much of what we dream depends on what happened to us last before going to sleep.
