What is your worst experience ever in a public bathroom?

In my experience bathrooms at supermarkets and fast food restaurants are terrible. There is usually urine on the seat and toilet paper on the floor. In addition, I have also been to bathrooms that were out of paper towels and soap. One of the worst things that can happen is when you walk into a bathroom and there is no stall and someone is on the toilet.

I visited the bathroom stall at a Village Inn here in town a few years ago, and before I got up from the seat it was already flushing automatically, loudly with that heavy sucking sound that scared the bejeebers out of me. Now I don't mind something or someone cleaning up after me, but c'mon this automated thing was just too enthusiastic.

I also had some laundromat worker use the key on the bathroom door for some kid to use, and there I sat looking up at them. gee.

I once was cleaning the toilet with an old toothbrush and it got stuck in there and the toilet was overflowing and I had to go digging with my hand to haul out the toothbrush. That was an ewwwww. Thanks to the advice from my male friend.

When I owned a house and the toilet on the first floor overflowed I thought for sure that it only went into the first floor wood, then my husband called me into the basement where stuff was running down the walls. i yi yi

Well, I always say "Go, before you go...."

The toilets at the train station are sub standard at best, but when you've gotta go, you've gotta go.

I've never been caught with out TP. I always have tissues on hand.

But the worst toilets every were in a market at Denpasar which is in Bali, Indonesia.

Picture this: You go to the toilet, no stall, no toilet, just a hole in the ground with a picture of a foot on either side. Nothing to press to flush, just a barrel of water and a ladle to try to wash away the excrement. YUCK....

I think my worst was when I was a kid. My parents, brother and I went to a local park for a concert and I think, fireworks (it may have been for Independence Day). Anyway, I went to use the bathroom and there was a long line for the ladies, but there was only one stall and no door. I was very shy about my body back then and wouldn't change in front of anyone, let alone pee. I was utterly humiliated that there were all these women staring at me as I'm trying to do my business. (Of course they weren't really staring, just waiting in line.)

Oh, you haven't seen anything until you go to China. They are squatty potties, never have toilet paper as you are expected to bring your own (they actually use the toilet paper as napkins on the dinner table in restaurants. not kidding). You are not supposed to put the toilet paper in the toilet as I guess you'll clog the toilet, but because the waste basket is already overflowing you have to throw it on the floor. And to top it off, there is nowhere to wash your hands. And I've heard it could be worse, if you go to a small town. lol

The worst bathrooms are the ones at the beach! No one flushes the toilet, there is urine all over the floor, no toilet paper, no soap...its just disgusting !

This happened yesterday...
I was out to dinner with my some of my friends and my brothers. I was wearing jeans... had my cell phone in my back pocket -- went to the bathroom, stood up and my cell phone fell out of the pocket into the automatic flushing toilet and the stupid girl in line kicked the stall door open as I am standing there butt naked... I was not happy!! I laugh about it now though because Sprint gave me a brand new phone.

I had a girl ask for some toilet paper in the stall beside me, then I took a whole bunch off an handed it to her, then she tried to hand almost all of it back to me..I was like um no you keep it..I mean did she even use any? did she use it and give it to me? like so many things came to my mind, I got out of there

How about going into the men's bathroom at Wal-Mart by mistake, having runs there, and realizing there is a man outside the stall using the urinal? How's that for a bad experience?? I was praying he would leave so I could slip out unseen....:( And he did leave me alone again....thank God! I was so mortified and shocked that I would do that, but I had to go so bad that I wasn't paying attention to where I was going. And then there were two lady WM employees outside the door, and I was so embarrassed....:( They just said, "it's not like the men never go in our bathroom by mistake", and that did make me feel a little better, lol. :) Have a great evening.

It was when those WOW Doritos were out. The ones with the fake fat. I was like 10 or 11 I think, and I ate a bag those and they gave me the poops really bad, and I was at a Publix (a grocery store), and my mom was being a total b**** and wouldn't let me go to the restroom until it was too late. I had to walk around the store smelling like that, and then when we were checking out to leave, my crush was with her parents right in front of us, and moved away from me after she said hi.

Oh and this other time I was drunk at the club, and the womens restroom was down at the end of the hall, and the exit was to the right. Both doors looked the same, and I went into the womens restroom, and was looking for the exit, and I got literally thrown out of the club.

I'm SERIOUS about this one. You think you guys had bad experiences? My worst was when there was NO DOOR, toilet paper, sink, or soap. And it was squat toilet. Yuck! I decided that I didn't need to go after what I saw, and good thing no one was inside, except my two best friends and my niece who literally ran out in a few seconds.

Oh....something to add!!!!!!!!!!!!!The toilet (inside, since theres no seat) was really yucky. And it smelled AWFUL
