I got married in 2003 to a woman I thought loved me and treated me well, I even adopted her children from a previous marriage. Soon after I signed adoption papers, the marriage began to unravel, I was more and more having to do everything from making what money I could to tending the children and doing nearly all of the housework when I had the energy left, while she began having affairs while I was at work, played video games, shopped or talked on the phone all day. Now that we are divorced, and she swears that she wanted a clean break as I do, she wants me to keep so-called parental rights to the children even after she's convinced them that I'm a bad person so she can collect almost $900 a month in child support in exchange for 'reasonable visitation'. btw, she's never held a steady job and always lived with 'financial' assistance from her family and 'friends'

i hate to tell you this but she screwed you in more ways than one. sounds to me like she is trying to pawn her kids off on you besides taking you for whatever she can. if those kids think you are such a bad person, show them how bad you can be--- give them back to their mother. no if ands or buts about it. Its not your fault that their mother is a user. But she needs to learn that not everything comes on a silver platter. who is paying the $900 a month, the "real" father? let her deal with that herself, thats not your problem. I sure as heck would hope that you arent paying $900 a month for kids that arent yours. and reasonable visits? ha, she should be the one paying and getting reasonable visits!! good luck!!

You are definitely married to a gold digger. Do not keep the parental rights to the children. Don't let her collect a penny. She should get off her fat A** and go to work for a living.

I hope you adopted the children because you loved them. If you did than you great and if not you are still their father and need to take care of them and with a mother like that they really need you in their life.

She is a gold digger and I am sorry that you had to learn the hard way.

Good luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, she's a gold-digger among other things.

You may have adopted them, but you will not be required to pay child support on children that are not biologically yours. You will undoubtedly have to relinquish the relationship with them though.

You're better off. Cut your losses and move on.

Is there anyway that you could get custody? It sounds like she has some deeper issues going on, besides being a lousy mother and a gold-digger. The children are legally yours.

Total gold-digger, man that suck but do you at least love the children. Think of it as helping the children not her.

This ***** sounds crazy, lazy, & cold! She don't even want her kids! I'd dump her *** & I'm sure you've grown attached to those kids, but they aren't yours biologically. Maybe keep a couple, but she needs to be taught a lesson of life. Dump her ***!!!!
