I have long brown hair and I really want to get a new do. I am going to china for a trip in a week, so I want a cute, easy haircut that is easy to maintain and isn't too hot for 100 degree weather.
I am also very active and play basketball, so it muct be long enough to put in a pony tail.
I am not sure about bangs, but i will try anything!

Long hair is sexier (than short hair) on most women. Don't be fooled by the "professional look." Some women do look better with short hair, but not too many. Just depends on the woman I guess. However, most seem to look better with longer hair. Some women with shorter hair even look almost like boys/men.

Get some layers, not too short, and a few wispy bangs.
Bangs flatter almost everyone, and frame your eyes.

why dont you get a short bob cut. hey this is what you do... go to yahoo videos and watch Rihanna's "umbrella" video and you will see the haircut i am talking about... its sophisticated yet you can dress it down!!!
