I'm almost 18 and once I turn that age I was planning on renting an apartment with my best girl friend(who's also 18). One of my other friends(who's a guy + 19) wants to live with us too. My parents don't like him much. Once I'm 18 can my parents control who lives in the apartment with me?

No, they can't control it. But they can quit supporting you financially and emotionally. And they don't have to be there to take you in when the roommate situation doesn't work out, which is 90% of the time.

legally no they can not. Everyone want to move out when they are 18, that is just they way it is some do some don't. I have learned that most people who stay at home and go to school and then move out later have a chance of making it on their with more to show for it. Maybe your parents do not have a problem with you moving out just who your living with, I as well as most people think they are smarter than you and should listen to them...

no but just because you CAN doesn't mean you SHOULD. maybe you should talk to them about it so they can explain their concerns. They just might be right about some things.
