This may sound strange, but the way I do it is I watch what he does with his hands while he's walking.

i went out on a date with this guy and something just did not seem right with him his best friend was a female and his guy friends looked at him as if he was a square. anyway i asked him if he was gay and his response was (ha-ha! why did you ask me thaaaaaaaaaat?) Now you know a real str8 guy would have went ballistic!

sometimes you can tell by their voice if they cross there legs have framed portraits of there mother don't wear boxers etc. not all true the best way to find out the truth is to ask

when a guy spends way too much time trying to point out how NOT gay he is then to me it sets alarm bells ringing and it brings to mind the old adage " me thinks he doth protest too much"

kkitty thats not really a reliable way since just about everyone i know says that about guys and girls all the time its not necessarily a sexual thing

Also... his social life does NOT have to be with all men.
I know gay guys whos friends are mostly women... just one of the girls.
