I missed that game due to workage
but it does not surprise since Maroth has the highest BA of any Tiger pitcher.
That is why Leyland used him to pinch hit in Sunday's game.

Yes, that was Maroth's fifth career hit. He pinched hit yesterday for Fernando Rodney in the ninth.

CC can really hit em. Has the most hits by a pitcher in interleague play ever. I can't really see Maroth as a hitter. He's skinny and sort of short for a pitcher.
