If leftists are so hot on "choice" and "tolerance"?

Question

Why are they against us having a choice in educating our children, forcing us to send our children to a government monopoly?

Why are they refusing to allow me to choose a funded private retirement account funded by a portion of my Social Security taxes?

Why are they refusing to allow me to have a health savings account, buying high-deductible health insurance that becomes eligible for tax-preferred savings accounts from which I will pay for my routine medical expenses?

Based on their hatred of these choices it seems they are only for choice for them but not Americans. I want less government in my life, give me that freedom.

Because we're too stupid to choose for ourselves. It is a philosophy that empowers government to impose its will upon the people in the belief that the opinions and theories of professionals are certainly better than the self-seeking whims of ordinary individuals.
If, in the world Hillary (and many Dems) prefer, one person achieves greater success than another from an equal opportunity, does the result constitute a special privilege that should be denied to the more successful?

Hillary believes in “pairing growth with fairness.” This must be one way “government works for all the people” – by keeping track of the success achieved by all the workers to make sure someone doesn’t get a “special privilege” as the result of greater success than another. No wonder she doesn’t like a government that governs least; it takes a lot of government workers to work for all the people.

Hillary’s vision is not of a free market, nor of a free people; it is a vision of government control, enforced “fairness” and limited opportunity.

When the rules of behavior are developed, enacted and enforced by people who are not elected, the people have no way to convey or deny their consent. Government usurps the power from the people and imposes its will – as it wills.

Yep--Hillary's ideal Utopia.......

You are putting all liberals into rhe same basket. This is as bad as putting all consevatives in the same place. It was conservative administartions and legislatures that allowed postal workers and Federal employees to decide between Social Security and a government pension plan. Did you, perhaps get that choice. It is the current administration that passed into law, by a bi-partisan majority, an education act that costs taxpayers ten times more than was being spent before and does absolutly nothing to reform education. It was and is conservatives who continue to hammer at a "war on Terror" that has so far only subjugated one nation, and that not a proven terrorist state, while the most wanted terrorist in the world is still free in Pakistan, a nuclear power with whom the consevatives have been traditionally friendly.

I don't know where you live or work, but at my job we have all those choices you mentioned, so I don't think there's a central government victimizing you. You are free to send your children to private school or home-school them, it's just that some parents in this country don't take care of their children and don't give a flip. We need a basic free public school system or this country will become a banana republic. Don't forget all those children in the rough neighborhoods in every U.S. city. If you care so much about unborn children, how about working equally hard to argue for the born and neglcted in this country and others if you have the capacity.

The Left is the most intolerant, bigoted and hateful bunch in the world.

They will not allow you to defer YOUR money which YOU earn at YOUR job into your own account because it takes money away from them. ALL money belongs to the government, doncha' know, and what they allow us peons to keep is an allowance and we should be grateful.

The Left HATES freedom. It is antithetical to their delusions of total control over their serfs.

BTW, medieval serfs paid 25% of their income in taxes and were considered slaves.
