He is on the DL and then he faces a suspention for admiting to performance enhancing drugs.

Jason Giambi has a lying problem, as well as a steroid and amphetamine problem. He calls out his own players for not coming through in the clutch, and then tests positive for illegal substances. It also came out that he admitted to taking amphetamines during a Grand Jury Testimony. He's currently with the Yankees and is in the midst of a mediocre season. He's batting in the 260's with 7 HR and 23 RBI.

He dorked up his ankle/foot and won't likely be physically able to return until around Sept. last I heard. If he can physically come back it is likely he will be suspnded. he has until sometime this week (Selig was unclear on exactly what day) to testify to Mitchell on his statement about that "STUFF" he has been so vocal about. So likely he is done for the year as if he testifies he will be considered a rat and break the union stance on keeping quiet about it all. Then again with his mouth who knows what he will do. Likely he'll shut his mouth, take the suspension, and not do anything to jeopardize (although highly unlikely it could legally) the $38m or so he still has on his contract. Maybe in the offseason they'll trade him for a cup of gatorade with the gatorade to be delivered later.

He is injured. Also, he made a statement in which he implied that he used steroids. The commissioner of the MLB is forcing him to cooperate with federal investigators and there's a possiblity that he could get suspended for steroid use.

Nothing happened to him. He is still a Yankee and is on the disabled list. I think the steroids got the best of him.
