I am a little of both. I seek knowledge so I will be a student forever. I love sharing my knowledge so I would like to remain a teacher for ever too.

I am just a naturally curious cat, so I've been reading a lot over
the years, on very diverse subjects.
So I suppose I have gathered knowledge over the years, and in some cases I will even lay claim to understanding.
Which is what really matters, but I will freely give any knowledge I have to whoever asks for it.
Why not ?, it isn't really sharing either, I will still have the exact amount of knowledge as before, and someone else has hopefully gained a bit. We're all winners that way.

I seek knowledge in order to apply it for good purposes. Although we might want to freely share knowledge among everyone, sometimes people are not mature or moral enough to use it wisely. For example don't teach young children how to make a fire.

A seeker. Sharing will cost you.

I seek an easy question such as yours (by the way, thank you), then I share a stupid answer with you, and get 2 points (which can not be shared) toward a higher level on my Yahoo 'thingy'.

It is normal to share knowledge with the trust-able, but who is trust-able depends on your sense or identity concept for fidelity.

The Erikson life-stage virtues, in the order of the stages in which they may be acquired, are:

hope
will
purpose
competence
fidelity
love (in intimate relationships, work and family)
caring
wisdom

Stage One Oral-Sensory: from birth to one, trust vs. mistrust, feeding;
Stage Two Muscular-Anal: 1-3 years, autonomy vs. doubt, toilet training;
Stage Three Locomotor: 3-6 years, initiative vs. inadequacy, independence;
Stage Four Latency: 6-12 years, industry vs. inferiority, school;
Stage Five Adolescence: 12-18 years, identity vs. confusion, peer relationships;
Stage Six Young Adulthood: 18-40 years, intimacy vs. isolation, love relationships;
Stage Seven Middle Adulthood: 40-65 years, generativity vs. stagnation, parenting;
Stage Eight Maturity: 65 years until death, integrity vs. despair, acceptance of one's life.

Both. I give and take. I think I intend to take more, bt end up sharing just as much, because I'd feel guilty if I over-took.

I seek and then I share, they are not that as disconnected as that.
