I have a prenup. I have much more assets than my husband, we are both in our 40s/50s, and we've been around the block a time or two (maybe more.) He didn't blink an eye, as he's an honorable guy who loves me with or without money and if it doesnt work out, he doesnt want a thing but what he walked in with.
It seems to me that if she sees that it makes you more comfortable and she loves you....then your comfort is important. If she goes into the "you don't trust", "you don't love" realm.......well seems to me that her motives for marrying our a bit askew.

First off I'm one of those people who don't believe in prenuptials. Whatever you bring into a marriage (assets or debts) becomes the both of yours. If you're thinking about your assets as your assets, then marriage will never work in the long run for you. The one thing I've learned is that when you get married you're bonded as one being and one unit. So how can you have things that are yours and things that are hers if your one unit.
However, not everyone believes that marriage is a bond, both physical, mental, and spiritual. If you must have a prenup, then that's something you just have to come out and tell her is part of the deal. She either will marry you or she won't because of it. If she doesn't, don't hold it against her, that's just part of her belief system and it's a good thing you found out that she wouldn't before you got married or engaged.

I'd definitely get one....if I were you, considering the divorce rates in this country.
In some states you might be able to keep them in case of a divorce but in others.....they would be fair game.
All you are asking is to retain ownership of them in case of a divorce while at the same time, you both will benefit from the income during the marriage.

The only way you can do this is to flat out tell her she either will or she wont marry you it is that simple.

I believe, when you come into the marriage with property, you are allowed to take with you when you go. Check into that.
