i am doing a high school play and i am playing a prep what closed shoes are preppy and no penny loaferors are not

The BEST preppy winter shoes would be, UGG's.
Look them up on line. They are around $100-$200. Kinda expensive, but they are available at Marshall's and Norndstorm's.

Since I grew up going to Prep School Penny Loafers "were" very much a part of our wardrobe with sperry top siders
now my girls wear Uggs and Crocks - perhaps check the official preppy hand book - for real information.

ummmm uggs aren't preppy but that's what most prep school kids wear so you might want to go with that. or like top siders.

The preppiest winter shoes that I can think of are Ugg boots. They are really cute and they work with everything. So, if your costume had jeans or a skirt, the Ugg boots would go with ech perfectly.

i hate to break it to you but penny loafers, keds or sperry top siders are the quintessential preppy shoes. uggs are not preppy.

Penny loafers where the clasic "preppy" look for the guys when I was growing up. Perhaps you could make this retro trend popular again.
