any resolution above 1280x720 (720p) the resolution above me is (1080p). ur screen if it can do 1080i prbly has a res of 1366x768, all the extra pixels are scaled down (interlaced) which does not look as good as 1080p.

The newer video cards have HDTV output jacks that with an HDTV cable can plug directly into your HDTV set.
