Is it best to allow everyone to answer questions that are posted?

Everyday it seems like more and more of the conservatives are blocking my answers.

I guess they only wanna hear opinions similar to their own.
Their loss. I am very much to the left on some issues...but i'd NEVER block a right winger. I like comedy too much :)

I would only block the really offensive ones, the ones who make really sexual remarks, the ones who only like to completely put people down just to do it - not people who are on the other side of the political spectrum but give their answers in a semi polite way. So people use this just to run lines of smut - for instance there used to be some really bad stalkers on here targeting women ( not myself ) really offensively. Those are the ones to block.

Oh, the irony.

It is a really great idea to block the stalkers. The ones who follow you around simply to harrass you personally.

It is a really bad idea to block the answers of people whose viewpoints are opposed to yours. Bad in the sense that this is supposed to be a free-thinking nation.

But hey, why would you want to expose your mind to anything new? Why would you want to have your viewpoints challenged? It might hurt your feelings.

I would allow everyone to answer my questions. I think the one's that spew their hate and can't handle the truth of a fair debate are the ones that block users and turn off their email option. It's mostly the lefties that do this since they don't like us Republicans exercising our right of free speech.

you shouldn't let anti-declawing people answer declawing questions. they always say the same thing. they threaten to cut your fingers off.

i know it's a bad answer. but i guess you kinda have to let everyone answer.

I Think it is a good idea because that way the conservatives aren't gonna be mad at yahoo because they can't answer your questions.

I think everyone should be allowed to answer. How can anyone block your questions? You can block people from being your contacts but nothing else.

It's easier than trying to automatically police the people who only post drivel and propaganda. Readers do that with their votes anyway.
