For both $400, and $350 (which is what it actually costs) it is quite a good computer. It's not going to run games, but for just general "office" use, it's great. People have to remember the OS costs like $100, so the hardware, and putting it together, both come to a total of $250, which is about as low as you're gonna find anywhere. If you were to build it yourself, you'd probably save next to nothing, except the shipping costs, as he is charging for the price of shipping those parts to himself, and then charging to send it to you.

1GB should be OKAY for Home Basic as long as you're not running any memory hogging applications, if you find you need it, you can double the RAM later for $40.

It is decent, but I would upgrade from Vista Basic to Vista Premium as Basic is garbage. It included nothing but the Vista name. If you plan on doing any gaming, then you will need to purchase a discrete graphics card as the integrated graphics will not cut it either.

The OS is a bulk OS costing the company about $20.00 and the components are around $200- $300, It is decent.
You could build one for the same $$

Looks OK for most applications except games because of integrated graphics. RAM is optimum for XP but needs upgrading for Vista.

It is an average computer for the price. The video card is nothing fancy and I would opt for a faster processor if you are buying a new computer.

Not bad. I might have to get me one. Not really a gaming machine, but good for surfing and creating documents.
