Well I have been having some problems with my desk top computer. It stopped turning on. Power cables are fine. Before it stopped turning on it would turn on, but monitor would not come on. Now it has stopped turning on completely. Does anyone think the mother board is fried? Battery dead? Etc.. Need some help and ideas. Thank you. I will update question when answered.

Probably the power supply if it's a desktop. For a notebook, check the battery.

I would check the power supply first. If it is more than a couple of years old, that is probably the problem.

well it could just be your PSU(ie. power supply) its an easy fix, shouldnt cost over 20 bux, easiest way to figure it out is if you have another computer you could borrow the PSU from it and test it on your pc, if it works simple solution
