OK well this is my second period and we just opened my pool and I want to go swimming. The problem is, I can't go with pads on and I don't want to use tampons yet because I'm not ready. Is there any way to make my period go by quicker and stay away longer? If not that's fine but if there is please spill.

Ok hun listen to me! I had this same problem last month. I just started using tampons last month. Once you try 'em believe me you will NEVER want to go back to pads. you have to insert it right. you know it's in right if you cannot feel it at all. oh to answer your question: if you are not putting a tampon in don't go swimming that is disgusting and unsanitary. my friend's mom is a health teacher you can get many infections unless you wear a tampon. there is no way to make it go quicker. srry hope i helped ♥ ya - brianna-

no way to keep periods away, they come when they want to. try tampons, make sure you read the directions on the box before you even try to put a tampon in. if it doesn't feel right take it out and try again with a new tampon.

I had a similar problem. I had scheduled a beach trip when I was scheduled to have my period. So I drank a lot of water, especially the week before I was scheduled to have my period, and my period was about a week late. (This may not work for some people, especially if you have been having your period for a couple of years.) I hope this helps!

After you start your period, you are physically ready for tampon use. There is no way to make your period go by faster.

Not unless you go on the pill.
You should try tampons. As long as a tampon is inserted properly you don't even feel it.
