No your union will give you strike pay. It is a pittance and surely not enough to live on. You are not unemployed as you do have a job but are choosing to strike for whatever reason. I was in a union that voted to strike(not me) and could not collect unemployment.

No you can't because the union employees are striking and that means they refuse to work for whatever their striking for, more than likely more money and benefits
