is anyone else like deadly afraid of thunderstorms? I know this is a stupid question, but I just want to see if I am the only one that is scared of thunderstorms.

i'm not crazy about them either,but when the Lord does his work i turn everything off and make my boys sit down and be quiet until everything is over with.

I used to because the lighting scared the heck out of me but then I enjoy the thunderstorms because I thought that Everytime it rains a beautiful flower blossoms.

I liv ein Florida, the lightening capital of the world. I know people who have been struck, or near struck, i've been near struck several times... and our news is full of people getting killed by lightening strikes. However, I am not afraid.
I simply will not walk accross a parking lot when it is lightening. I stay away from windows during intense thunder storms etc.
Take precautions for saftey, but don't be afraid of it.
I used ot be afraid of it as a child, but i guess I am used ot it now.
The sucky part is I like playing int he rain, but most rain storms have lightening so I don't get to. :(

My Mom was terrified of them. I probably spent a quarter of each Summer, sitting in the basement until the watch or warning had passed. We lived in the Midwest, so thunder storms and tornadoes were concerns. I did not inherit this fear however, I rather enjoy the blustery storms; great atmosphere for reading scary books. ;)

I can't say I'm scared of them but after being hit three times I have a very healthy respect for lightning. Guess I'm pretty lucky three strikes and I'm still swinging!

Not deadly afraid but I am scared. I hate lighting. & my biggest fear? Someone I love dying. That's my deadly afraid fear. Knowing i'll never see them again.

you are not alone because I am. I hate hail and tornados and not a big fan of lightning either.
