I usually listen to Delerium for the chill out effect, loads of tracks that I won't list.
I like Rise by The Cult for bringing yourself up when your feeling down and everything seems a struggle, great lyrics about facing the world head on - great guitars too.

I can't stress this song enough, "Prepare" by Neo Cortex. That song is the ultimate confidence-booster. It gets you so pumped up. Good song to listen to before you hit the gym.
Another song is "Heart of a champion" by Nelly....great song!

most of the songs from r.e.m.'s "automatic for the people" album are good chill out songs. as for boosting confidence, i like to listen to the mighty mighty bosstone's "the impression that i get". that's probably not the message of the song, but it gets me hyped up!
