Depending on your area your in and who you choose for the job. Materials at a Home Depot will be around $2000. Depends how many window/doors, house type, Corners, If your doing soffit and facia(recommended if our doing siding.) Labor on a one story average home would be around $3000 -5000. If you think you may need a new roof wait for the siding and do the roof...you could always get a how-to book to do the siding yourself and save on labor if thats an option. Siding really is not that difficult with no real special tools needed. A ham,er and some red and green snippers. But I really recommend doing the roof first if needed.HOPE THIS HELPED!! ;)

COWBOY below may be right about that in the past but siding has went up dramatically in price in the past year...about 100% increase in price actually..So your choice of siding will make a difference too. The cheaper, lower grade stock stuff home depot carries is about 140 bucks for 2 square(which is 200 SQ. FT).

My house is 1200 square feet. It cost me $1500.00 through Home Depot on one of their sales two summers ago. This was all the bells and whistles, including the gutter pipes and soffets.
