Iraqis assure Bush progress being made -do you believe it?

Is it just more smoke and mirrors? The generals say one thing and the politicians say another. What is the truth?

I listen to the troops on the ground, my son is one of them and has been since 2003. The public never gets the whole story especially with the media!

This is the main point of your question - and with all of the conflicting stories being put forth, I seriously doubt if anyone truly knows the answer. As you pointed out, the stories from the generals, the stories in the media and the stories from the troops just don't match up - sometimes they're not even close.
Personally, I suspect that there is progress being made - just how much progress and how effective it will prove to be in the long run is another question which, at present, seems unanswerable in any valid way.
One thing is for sure - I will believe the generals in the field before I believe a politician in a limo.

I think that some very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very small amount of progress is being made with the Iraqis.
