My mum went to do an exam once and when her name and 2 surnames were called there was about 4 women raising the hand...

Man, my name is sooooo common, anytime I move to a new area, I always look in the phone book to find about a half dozen with my first/last name. I've had one dentist get my chart constantly confused with another patient of the same name!
Why couldn't my name be me something more uniquely google-able, like Zechariah Sprawtrogriethesky....
...... on second thought, maybe I'll just keep my name the way it is.

Not at all, my name is very common, in fact i work with 2 other people with the same first and surname! And there's 2 others live down my street!

I've never found anyone with the same name as me, but I recently found someone with the same stage-name as me, and that REALLY pissed me off. Partly because I want to be unique, and partly because he had the name before me, and is a successful recording artist in the US (Country- I do jazz), and so I have to find a new name!!

I've done this when I was really bored and needed to pass the time. I'd never go out of my way to find other people with the same name as me, though.

Well, I think it's interesting to see if there is anyone else with my name (and there is at least one person...a reporter in Florida), but I especially like looking for people with my maiden name...it's so German-ly unusual...

I have a pretty odd surname so not many of us about.
But did find one guy with same name who ran an art gallery.

It's not often I find someone with the last name "Applebach", let alone with the combo, so it's rather surprising.
