Leopard Geckos do not require a great deal of space and a 30" long vivarium is large enough to keep 2 or 3 adults (note that when keeping adults together 2 males will fight, so you should keep either all females or a male and one or more females). Juveniles can be kept in smaller plastic housing such as the desert den containers. Baby Leopard geckos are very hard to sex and if you decide to buy juveniles for a pet it is best to stick with just the one. Otherwise there is a very real risk that you will choose two males that will fight, maybe to the death as they grow older. There are various types of housing on the market but usually the best choice is a purpose made wooden vivarium with sliding glass doors at the front and ventilation grills in the back and sides. These retain heat better than glass fish tanks and are available in a wide range of sizes and colours.

If by locusts you mean cicidas, that would be quite a feat. There are different species with some having as long as a 17 year life cycle. The adults lay their eggs in the twigs of trees, which then fall off and the young emerge and burrow into the ground. They stay there until they're ready to emerge as adults, feeding on the sap of plant roots up to a foot in the soil. That would be a little hard to replicate for that period of time.
