I think that you mean hydrogen. Humans put it in group IA of the Periodic Table, because it is "above" Li, Na, etc. But 8n other Periodic Tables, it is in group VIIa, above F, Cl, etc., because it can form hydrides, H-. Also, it is a gas, LOL>

The first that comes to mind is silicon. It is often called a semi-metal, or semi-conductor.
