Saw IV is an upcoming horror/slasher film scheduled to be released on October 26 2007. The film is the fourth installment of the Saw series and was directed by Saw II and Saw III director Darren Lynn Bousman alongside with co-creator James Wan and Leigh Whannell returning as executive producers.
Production
There were rumors about who was going to write the script for Saw IV, including Patrick Melton. On a news article on the same rumor site, an actual writer was revealed, Thomas Fenton. There was also a hunt for the director of Saw IV before it was officially stated that Darren Lynn Bouseman should direct the fourth installment. Two of the rumored directors were David Moreau and Xavier Palud. When asked when Saw IV was greenlit, Darren Bousman replied, "When I was filming Saw III. It’s become kind of a tradition now. I don’t think it’s been greenlit, it’s just like they’re keeping going. But definitely when the movie came out and did well, I think then that solidified it that they were 100% doing IV." Production offices opened on February 12th to begin the pre-production period. The filming of Saw IV began on April 16, 2007 for 6 weeks. The filming location for the horror film was Toronto, Canada, the same place both Saw II and Saw III were filmed. Post-production period began on May 19th. Shooting for the film ended on May 30, 2007.

yeah it comes out october 26th of this year. by the way jigsaw isnt dead. the actor, tobin bell, who plays the guy is contracted to six saw movies. so if saw 4 makes alot then well see saw 5. same goes for saw 6. theres alot of talk about the plot but nothing is confirmed.

Torture-porn like the Saw and Hostel movies are about the vilest thing this side of child pornography. Shame on the people who make such films.
