For me it's "Absence makes the heart grow fonder" because I have such a hard time forgetting someone or something, especially if it's important to me.

It depends on who you're talking about, but for me with my husband, it's generally absence makes the heart grow fonder. He was in Desert Storm back in the early 90's and was gone for 6 months. I appreciated him a little more when he came home.

Well yes,maybe if I don't see him for a long time it will be out of sight,out of mind, but deeply in my heart there will be always a place for him.I think you can never forget someone you really loved,just bare him inside the heart and if you see him then again you will feel something! =(
