I was on Depo for 9 months. Took myself off, because of the terrible side effects. Does anyone know when I will return to "normal". My periods are irregular, no sex drive, etc. If any women are experiencing the same things PLEASE let me know. Thank you in advance.

Im sorry I forgot to add that I had my period when on the shot, Like the entire 9 months...NO KIDDING!! and I am now VERY irregular, like a period every two weeks....

Thank goodness you got off of depo.
I got off it over a year ago after being on it for four years.
I went on Kariva immediately after, and it took three months to get my periods back.
You may need to get on the pill or something else to get your periods back.
It can take well over a year to get them back as well.

I agree with her! I was on Depo for 5 years and it took over 7 months to even get my period! Then it was irregular so I got on the pill and it finally has evened everything out and I am normal again! I would highly suggest getting on a pill of some sort to help make you more regular. Low dose pills work well after depo from my experience. Best of luck.
