Sometimes situations are just that - bad. I don't think you can always turn it. I have been wanting to leave my country for almost eight months now, but still I am stuck here. I could say I am somewhat despondent about the whole situation.
The thing that would make you different from the crowd would be your attitude towards it. I have considered just giving up on the whole thing and just staying here - but I truly believe there is something better waiting for me. I'm not sure what you situation is but I wish you all of the best.

No it would be nice if it could be done, but realistically, it is often impossible to create good from bad. However, I work hard to limit the damage of bad situations.
Many people make the mistake of compounding their problems by losing discipline and focus and calm rational thinking when a crisis hits. The one thing all crises have in common is that with a few bad decisions, they can always be much much worse.

I really almost bury the problem in my mind until I subconsciously figure out a way to fix it. Sometimes big problems are hard to deal w/ right away, so I just let it simmer on the back burner until I'm mentally ready to deal w/ it.(If I can)
But unfortunately there are times when you cannot avoid it, you have to deal w/ it immediately! In cases like these I do try to turn it around to make it easier to deal with. You want to try to make sure things work out for you and yours first, worry about others later.

Yeah we were all just told to tag team the dished and I said, "Well, I've only had water for two days because of my lip piercing so I haven't done anything but dirty glass cups!" and I didn't do any of the dished right now. Just sat back and played my Xbox 360.

YUP -- it is called "experience" and "changing my self-talk"
There is an old adage that I really like (mebbe because I am old) that goes---
"Fool me once - shame on you !!
Fool me twice - shame on ME !! "
It has been my experience in life, that God truly loves me WAY beyond my own understanding.
I have been through a lot in my life--- alcoholism, drugs, lost both parents the same year, idiot siblings who turned on me because they did not like the wills, gambling problem, chronic depression, a bad divorce (not my idea) and cancer and He has ALWAYS been there for me when I trusted Him.
BUT never be afraid to reach out for help to those who know.
Good Luck and God Bless your socks off!!!

I do try, I sure don't like to be on a pity party (too many others in the way). I try to roll w/the punches.
