Yes it is walking distance, however it's a long walk. I sure wouldn't make it while the sun is up either. To be honest, it's really a short cab ride, I wouldn't walk it as it's too far.

I'm a crew member from a major airline and that used to be our crew layover in Las Vegas. Although I did one time, I would not recommend walking to the strip.Things are always farther than they appear; no sidewalks and iffy neighborhood. It is located several long blocks from the strip, but there is a periodical van which will take you up to the strip or you can go across the street to the Hard Rock and they also have shuttle service to the strip. Hotel is older probably (1970's) and is "OK" but you probably won't be in your room much anyway. It is very spread out, with pools in the middle of the courtyard. Two floors; no elevator. Get ready to lug those bags! I never ate there so I can't comment on the food. I would give it 2 1/2 stars! Good Luck and have a Great Time!

I stayed there a little over a year ago, and with all the walking I did on the strip, I wouldn't attempt to walk it. Not that it's not doable, but I wanted to save my feet for other things. That said, the Alexis is cross from the HardRock and they have a free shuttle you can take to the strip and I think it stops at the Fashion Shop mall (or at least they did when I was there).
