im a kid and i don't like it. all music today is either a woman who can't sing trying to be sexy, a band that rocks to pointless lyrics and having no beat, or rappers who you can't even understand half the time with a chorus that sucks. musicians today have songs all about themselves, I DONT CARE ABOUT THEIR LIFE. they need to confront issues that are important that everyone can relate to, not about how much money they have or their personal life.

i agree 110%

all music sounds the same because they copy themselves and just use different words...

they are not intellectual enough to make music about important issues.

Skip the pointless lyrics and the same instruments. Don't listen to radio music. The good producers do effects and synthesis that will blow your mind. It's hard to find good tracks so try this list and listen loud. None of these songs are likely to sound like anything you've ever heard (I spend a lot of time looking for good music).
The format I'm giving you here is ***artist - song title (remix or remixer)***.

Abakusu Indu - Liquid Sound Design (Shiloh)
Achillea - The Seeress Prophecy (Micah)
Aquasky & Meat Katie - Overneath (Original)
Delerium - Angelicus (Redanka)
Dr. Kucho - Hallelujah (Original)
General Midi - Turn It Loud
Gnarls Berkley - Crazy (Shiloh)
King Unique - To The Left (L.E.D.)
LP - While You Where Gone
Pat Foosheen - The Unthinkable (Habersham)
Prodigy - Spitfire (Future Funk Squad)
Terry Grant - I'll Kill You (Substrata)
UNKLE - Eye For Eye (Dylan vs Force)

Any of these songs could be found on soulseek the free p2p program, and most are probably at beatport.com (you can hear some of the song free at beatport). People get a ton of energy from these songs.

Producers found they can make more money creating acts rather than finding acts. These producers don't care about the artist or the next producer. If there is a hit, the producers will order his or her writers to make that type of song. Once that sound is gone, they dump the arts and create new artists. The pop scene is not where the cream rises to the top, which is what it was from the mid 80s and earlier.

I Think That If You Could Critisize Them All Differently, It Doesn't All Sound The Same
