I've asked this before but no one had any good ideas.

I met a guy who's a chef and I need good excuse to go to his restaurant and see him. I don't want to just show up with a friend and ask for him because that's too obvious.

We already met in the restaurant and I can't eat most of the food he prepares because I'm vegetarian. :(

I would suggest a straightforward approach. Try contacting him beyond the work thing and set up a casual lunch. It needn't be complicated, but I would avoid playing games, they usually don't work out too well.

Unless you are willing to start eating meat, you might want to look for a guy in the organic food store. He is a chef, he likes to cook and most chefs I know also like to eat. Find someone that shares more of your interests because in a relationship, the topic of food comes up A LOT! Do you always want to argue over tofu burgers? Sorry-I am a BIG meat eater and I struggle with the idea of eating only veggies-I would die.

Go have dinner at the resteraunt when you know he is working, ask your server if the chef would come out so you can give your compliments to the chef. Praise the food you ate... especially if you order the chefs special... once he is out there then take it from there, slip him your number or something like that. Good Luck!

Oh come on! This is an easy one! Guys like to talk about themselves. Bring a girlfriend to the resteraunt. Walk up to him. Say that you are here to see him and what he can prepare for you that will meet your strick vegetarian diet. Smile at him, then walk back to the table. This will be a huge turn on for him and let him know you are interested. It will take the pain from him of guessing if you are interested and if he is, he will immediately let you know. If not, he will shrug it off.

Obvious shmovious. Get yourself really well together, dress to impress, and when you go there, always, ALWAYS order one of the specials.
Send him a bottle of his favourite drink, and say that the way to a woman's heart is through her stomach...
By the way, one of my friends is married to a chef, and I have never met anyone happier then her!

He's working and you shouldn't bother him at work, you may get him into trouble. Best to be grownup about it, and have the maitre d pass him a note asking him out when he gets off work.

OMG, don't play tricks. If you like him let him know. If he likes you back then he will bite. If not then the hell with him.
