What you need to know: one yard is three feet.

a) 50 yards = 50*3 feet = 150 feet
b) 100 yards = 100*3 feet = 300 feet
c) perimeter = 2*w + 2*L = 2*150 + 2*300 = 300 + 600 = 900 feet

1 yard = 3 feet

a) 50 yards wide = 50 yards * 3 feet/yard = 150 ft. wide
b) 100 yards long = 100 yards * 3 feet/yard = 300 ft. long
c) one lap around field = perimeter of field = 50*2 + 100*2 = 100 + 200 yards = 300 yards = 300 yards * 3feet/yard = 900 feet.

(a)
50yd = 3*50 = 150ft.

(b)
100yd = 100*3 = 300ft.

(c)
He runs twice the width and twice the length. That is:
2*150 + 2*300 = 300 + 600 = 900ft. (or 300yd.)
